I remember back when I was just a lad
We took off and went fishing, me and Dad
He helped me put the bait on my hook
Then I went and dropped the bait in the brook

A trout on my line

I got bigger and we fished the wild river
When we wanted salmon, Dad would deliver
He’d stand there for hours, drifting it just right
